چکیده
Guillain Barre syndrome (GBS) is a rare but potentially fatal immune mediated disorder of peripheral nerves and nerve roots usually triggered by infections characterized ascending paralysis with or without sensory symptoms, hyporeflexia to areflexia. Usually preceded gastrointestinal respiratory infection. Post COVID-19 neurological manifestation include GBS, transverse myelitis etc., occur at varying incidence rates various places. Here we report 42-year-old lady who had recovered presented quadriparesis absent deep tendon reflexes electro-diagnostically proven AMSAN variety GBS treated successfully IVIg. Patient was having hyponatremia which diagnosed be due SIADH fluid restriction tolvaptan. This case being reported combination COVID-19, COVID vaccination shortly before inappropriate secretion antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) quite combination.

Inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone in Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Hyponatraemia occurred in five cases with severe Guillain-Barr6 syndrome who required assisted respiration. In one, the syndrome of inappropriate secretion of ADH was demonstrated and probably accounted for the hyponatraemia in the other four. The water overload thus produced may have contributed to the neurological deterioration and the peripheral and pulmonary oedema seen in some of these cases.
متن کاملSyndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion.
The syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) results from the aberrant or sustained secretion of the antidiuretic hormone. Classic manifestations include water retention, hyponatremia, and hypo-osmolality of the serum. Treatment is aimed at differentiating SIADH from other causes of hyponatremia, determining the underlying disorder, and alleviating the excessive water re...
متن کاملSyndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion related to Guillain-Barré syndrome after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Guillain-Barré Syndrome is one of the most common causes of acute polyneuropathy in adults. Recently, the occurrence of Guillain-Barré Syndrome after major and minor surgical operations has been increasingly debated. In Guillain-Barré syndrome, syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion and dysautonomy are generally observed after maximal motor deficit. ...

Hyponatremia is considered to be a frequent complication of many clinical conditions [1]. Euvolemic dilutional hyponatremia caused by water retention in normal sodium stores has been termed as a syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) [2]. SIADH has been developed in patients with a variety of disorders, including central nervous system disorders, malignancy with autonomous ADH r...
متن کاملSyndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) and Gerhardt syndrome associated with Shy-Drager syndrome.
This is the first report on a case of syndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) associated with Gerhardt syndrome (paralysis of bilateral vocal cords). A 67-year-old Japanese man suffering from progressive autonomic failure was diagnosed as having Shy-Drager syndrome (SDS) with hyponatremia due to SIADH and severe sleep apnea caused by a bilateral recurrent nerve palsy...
